We are family owned, family ran, and family driven. Our goal is to produce stable, happy, healthy, quality dogs that deserve to be loved as much as they love us. Labs are known to be loyal, good-natured, easy going, intelligent, playful, with great temperament with a serious need to please. Our dogs are our customers best friends, camping companions, bed hogs, alarm systems, service dogs, hunting buddies and feet warmers. We want to debunk the myth that labradors are either lazy pets OR high strung working dogs. The dogs we enjoy most are a lovely mixture of both! We breed for a well rounded, working dog with the best family pet temperament.
For as long as I can remember we have had a lab, or two, or three. I recall the excitement of waking up early to tag along with my father and Misty, our beautiful black lab, on their duck or pheasant hunt. We began breeding as Bullruns Labradors of which I have branched off of to expand our bloodline. We have had the pleasure of overseeing many litters that have found their forever homes across the Pacific Northwest, with many satisfied repeat customers. After stepping away from breeding to focus on families and careers, we are excited to be back! We love our dogs and the breed!
We take pride in our dogs and their health. All of our dogs have been DNA tested for breed-relevent genetic conditions such as; exercise-induced collapse, centronuclear myopathy, macular corneal dystrophy, progressive retinal atrophy, canine elliptocytosis, canine copper toxicosis, ALT activity, and many others. Our crew all have OFA eye certificates. Those of age also have/will have their hip certs through OFA or PinnHIP. Please do not hesitate to ask about any of these tests.
Summer litter of chocolates and silvers!
Last week we confirmed Olives and Otso final litter. We are expecting pups the first or second week in June. Olive is just starting to show a bit, it always amazes me how quickly her body will change with a growing litter of pups!
We are surprised and saddened to have to report that Lola did not pass her OFA elbow screening. After a lot of research and chatting with our team, we have chosen to not include Lola in our breeding program at this time. She will remain the household bed hog and my medical service animal.
If you are interested in a pup from a future litter, please let us know and we will place you on our waiting list.
Our Olive is a character, she has a pretty big personality for being a shorter girl of English stature. Don’t let Olive's sad puppy eyes fool you, she is always happy, friendly, easy going, and independent. If you were to ask Olive, she would tell you how every person was put on this earth just to love and pet her.
Olive spends a lot of time outside watching over the kids, perched on the back of the couch looking out the window, retrieving her sticks, basking in the sun, splashing in any water she can find, and sneaking out to the pasture to chase the ducks!
Olive is the best mother, she is very attentive with her pups. They are always clean, warm and have full bellies. Olive also allowed the other dogs in the family to engage and socialize her pups when the time is appropriate. She also knows when to lay down the law and enforce boundaries when needed. I have no doubt that her pups will grow to be very well rounded!
In December of 2022 we made the trip to Montana to pick up our first Red Fox Labrador. She is spunky, playful and energetic. Huck is smart and attentive. I am excited to watch her grow and hopefully be a part of our breeding program.
Otso is the largest male of the family and sire of our recent litters. He was so sweet with the pups, he was mellow and so careful with them. Otso always has his eyes towards the sky watching for birds to fly by. Otso loves the water and is well on his way to becoming a good bird dog. I find it nearly impossible to snap a good picture of this guy as he is always on the move or doing some serious wagging of his big ol‘ tail. Otso has been DNA tested, PennHIP hip certified, OFA eye certified, with a normal baseline echocardiogram. He has proven to throw some beautiful pups!
Timber is our youngest male of the family. He is a pup from the Olive/Chance litter of 2020. I am so glad that we are able to keep Chance's bloodline going. Timber has the softest black coat like his father, and a shorter build like his mother, with the perfect mix of both their personalities! Timber has been DNA tested and OFA eye certified. He will also be OFA hip tested when he is of age.
It is very important to us that our pups are well socialized and comfortable around people, children specifically. The ten collective kiddos in our family will happily ensure that happens.
Our pups will have been seen by our vet, de-wormed, nano-chipped (by request), and will have received the first vaccine of the recommended three shot series before they are off to their new homes.
Each pup will also be sent home with a bag of their current food to help in the gradual transition onto the food you wish to feed. I also like to send each pup with a toy that smells of its litter-mates to help comfort the pups.
I believe that around 8 weeks of age larger breed puppies are ready to adventure out into the world with their new families.
We begin accepting deposits of 300$ after the pups are born. Order of pup selection is dependent on the order of deposits received.
Pups are sold with limited breeding rights. Full rights can be considered for an additional fee.
I also ask that if for whatever reason you are unable to keep a dog purchased from us, you reach out to us before re-homing . We have acquired a wealth of knowledge over the years and are more than happy to help with training recommendation if possible. We understand that being a good breeder does not end when a pup leaves our care, we are here for the lifetime!
We also enjoy watching our pups grown into great dogs and love to be updated along the way. We offer a litter specific Facebook group for each litter, if owners choose to join. I find people like getting to see their dogs litter-mates reach the same milestones as they grow.
